Official Visitors Guide to Rye Bay launched 2nd February 2013

At Rye Town hall on the 2nd of February many of the Cinque Ports Mayors arrived to show their support for Rye Bay Marketing Ltd.

Our Guest of Honour was Priscilla and Isabel Ryan Wife and Daughter of the respected author and publisher the late John Ryan.  His popular children's books and televising series about the life of Captain Pugwash ran for 9 years on the TV.

For the second year running Rye Bay Marketing have exceeded all expectations and produced yet another outstanding visitors guide to the Rye Bay Area with more advertisers, more pages and a very competitive print cost with thanks to Headley brothers of Ashford. Tel 01233 623131 see www.headley.co.uk

Entertainment Workshops from Rye Harbour sent along a professional young crew to film the event, Aimee Jack and Rhiannon did a great job taking control to get the shots they needed. Entertainment Workshops specialise in creative media such as sound, lighting film and TV, having this resource in the Rye Bay Area is especially handy as we have London production facilities without the London rates. See www.ewweb.co.uk or call 01797 229916
The event was very well supported by two primary sponsors Chapel Down who provided many bottles of their exceedingly well received "Brut Vintage Reserve" which although they do not call it Champagne those present were very impressed and considered it a very fine and refreshing drink suitable for the very best restaurants. I know it's on our fine Wine Menu for 2013. See http://www.chapeldown.com/

Unlike other some other Champagnes this is a pleasant crisp and not overly bubbly sparking drink, perfect for enjoying with friends without breaking the bank. The Restaurant at Chapel Down is well worth a visit though booking in advance is suggested. Many thanks to Sally, Lucy and Chrissy for their help. Call 01580 763033

KFF a local distributor of fine foods, known to many for their wide choice and reasonable pricing introduced to us the Canapes from their "excellence" range produced by "Traiteur de Paris" these exquisite sweet and savoury delights were very popular with the various accommodation providers and visitor attractions present. See http://www.kff.co.uk/

From initially contacting KFF as a result of an intrroduction from Philippe Gauvin we were able to meet up with Caroline Martin who looks after the TN region who was a pleasure to work with, call 01622 612345

For the second year Rye Bay Marketing were able to secure the services of Kirsty Doherty from http://www.purecreativedesign.net/ who created the Official Visitor Guide to the Rye Bay Area. organising thousands of pieces of data with huge amounts of cross referencing the end result was perfect. Kirsty runs a tight ship and always delivers within budget and agreed schedules.

Rye Bay is the entrance to the Ancient town of Rye which is perhaps the most ancient of all the Cinque Port Towns, and yet is also the gateway to a literary feast and cultural extravaganza.

see www.visitryebay.com and www.thecinqueports.com for some excellent ideas for a few lovely well earned weeks of vacation in the sunny south east of England.
